Elon Musk Admits Grok Uses AI Distillation
Elon Musk has stated in court that his legal claims against OpenAI have reached $134 billion. The trial is expected to continue for the next three weeks and will include testimony from OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The Tesla and Grok founder filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, alleging the company betrayed its original mission to serve humanity rather than acting as a commercial entity. Musk claimed his friendship with Google co-founder Larry Page ended a decade ago after Musk convinced a valuable Google employee to join OpenAI. The lawsuit follows similar deals signed by xAI and OpenAI that grant military officials more latitude with AI systems. The lawsuit centers on whether these promises were fulfilled. Co-founders and investors had committed to investing one billion dollars, which at the time seemed. A decision is expected by mid-May.
