Musk to Testify in OpenAI Matter
The claimant alleges that the company has been turned into a vehicle for personal gain. Musk argues that the AI company has effectively abandoned its not-for-profit founding principles. Tesla founder Elon Musk testified in a California federal court on Tuesday. OpenAI lawyers have responded to a $130 billion lawsuit filed by Elon Musk. Lawyer William Savit said Musk would do anything to attack OpenAI, including attempting to steal a charity. A judge warned both Musk and Sam Altman against using their platforms to influence the trial. The trial centers on the status and governance of the ChatGPT developer. OpenAI was co-founded by Musk and Altman in 2015. Musk also donated $38 million to start the company. The two former collaborators are currently facing each other in court following their professional fallout.
