Germany Releases Mobile Network Performance App

The Federal Network Agency has released a mobile application to help users identify potential mobile network underperformance. The app is currently available for download in the App Store. The app is titled 'Breitbandmessung, Nachweisverfahren, Mobilfunk' and is available in the App Store. Germany has released a new mobile application designed to measure actual internet speeds at a user's residence or workplace. The app allows users to verify if providers are meeting minimum performance standards. In densely populated areas, providers must deliver at least 25 percent of the contracted speed, while in less populated areas, the requirement is at least 10 percent. The app allows users to document actual signal strength to justify reducing bills or terminating contracts early.
