Manufacturers Required To Sell Laptops Without Charging Cables
As of today, manufacturers are obligated to offer new laptops without included charging cables. The regulation assumes consumers already possess sufficient power supplies due to the standardization of USB-C charging options. This move is intended to address environmental and sustainability concerns. Kathrin Schmidt from WDR Brussels reported on the new requirement.
