German Providers Allowed To Lay Fiber Optic Lines
The Bundesnetzagentur has ruled that multiple network operators may install their own fiber optic cables into existing conduits in new development areas. This decision follows a legal dispute involving Unity Media and other providers regarding infrastructure access. The ruling aims to prevent regional under-supply by allowing competition in newly built residential zones.
