The Supreme People's Court highlighted a case where a hospital hired Bo Software Co. The hacking group Shiny Hunters has claimed responsibility for shutting down Canvas, a platform used by over half of US colleges, universities, and grade schools for coursework and communication. The group posted a ransom letter, asserting they obtained access to data for more than 275 million people across nearly 9,000 schools. This outage has reportedly caused panic among users.
