Tianjin Port Utilizes 70 Percent Green Power

CNR Voice of China Tianjin 16d16d Impact 5
Huaneng Tianjin Clean Energy Co. Ltd. has implemented a system using domestic large-scale offshore wind turbines. The turbines utilize anti-corrosion technology and an intelligent operation system for 24-hour real-time monitoring. The installation is integrated into existing breakwaters to avoid occupying undeveloped sea areas. Wu Qiong, Executive Director of Huaneng Tianjin Clean Energy Co. Ltd., stated the design allows for wind power generation above sea level while maintaining breakwater functions below. Currently, 70% of the electricity supply at Tianjin Port is provided through green energy sources. officials Wu Qiong and Cao Baolong. The infrastructure includes 24 wind turbines and various distributed photovoltaic systems located underwater and on breakwaters. This transition is part of ongoing energy infrastructure developments at the port.
