AI-Driven Crypto Scams Target US Victims

One victim, Kyle Holder, lost over $240,000 in life savings to bogus cryptocurrency accounts. IRS investigator Harry Chavis reports that cryptocurrency scams accounted for more than half of the $20 billion stolen from Americans last year. These AI tools allow criminals to write specific scripts tailored to a victim's interests to increase effectiveness.
