Hong Kong Implements Single Window Trade Platform
The Hong Kong Transport Department has deployed a new three-dimensional route planning platform to manage modular construction components. Official Ingrid Yuen stated the system demonstrates the effectiveness of mobilizing civil servants for special operations. It also provides enhanced capability to identify potential hidden hazards compared to traditional flat analysis. The Hong Kong Highways Department is utilizing 3D environment technology to improve road transport inspections. Chief Engineer George Fung stated the technology reduces time required for site inspections and route assessments compared to traditional 2D analysis. The system allows for better visibility of traffic lights and obstacles. Hong Kong authorities will prohibit the possession of electronic cigarettes and alternative smoking products in public areas starting April 30.
