US Acting Attorney General Urges Congress to End DHS Shutdown
Micron is lobbying the US Congress to implement stricter controls on the sale of semiconductor manufacturing tools to Chinese competitors. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanch stated that the Department of Homeland Security has been in a state of shutdown since mid-February. US Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that the shooting incident at the White House Correspondents' Dinner should serve as a wake-up call for Congress. Blanche said that law enforcement personnel should not be used as political bargaining chips. The shutdown has severely impacted multiple subordinate agencies within DHS, including the Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting major events and key figures.
