Lime Seeks To Expand E-Scooter Operations In New York
Rental company Lime is planning to expand its e-scooter operations across New York City. A report released by the company this week from NYU indicates that scooters fill transportation gaps in neighborhoods lacking proximity to subway stations. Lime currently operates in parts of eastern Queens and the northeast Bronx. Company officials stated that e-scooters could complement both mass transit and city bike programs. The expansion follows a 2020 law that legalized e-scooter rentals in the city.
