Autonomous Underwater Drone Completes Long-Distance Test
KDDI and JR East are collaborating on an autonomous driving demonstration project. The tests are taking place in Tachunagawa. The bus utilizes advanced AI for real-time judgment of its surroundings, including people and vehicles. This initiative aims to test autonomous driving technology in Tachunagawa with the goal of nationwide expansion. KDDI is conducting a demonstration experiment for an autonomous bus in Takagawa, aiming for nationwide deployment. KDDI is testing an autonomous bus in the Takamagahara area, aiming to expand the technology nationwide. An autonomous bus was tested, operating almost entirely on its own with AI making instantaneous judgments about its surroundings. A Cellula Robotics autonomous underwater drone successfully traveled 2,000 kilometers in 16 days using fuel cell and hydrogen propulsion.
