Local Surfer Wins Margaret River Championship
A 23-year-old local surfer won the Margaret River stage of the Championship Tour in Australia. He defeated four Brazilian world champions in succession, including Felipe Toledo, Agudora, Italo Ferreira, and Gabriel Medina. Gabriel Medina, a three-time world champion and Olympic medalist, moved into the lead of the world rankings with 13,885 points. Miguel Popp and Italo Ferreira follow in the rankings.
