Russian Athlete Allowed To Compete For Uzbekistan

The Russian Judo Federation press service announced that 18 athletes will represent Russia at an upcoming Grand Slam tournament. The competition is scheduled to take place from May 8 to May 10. Russian Minister of Sport Mikhail Dikterev stated the International Gymnastics Federation may allow Russian junior gymnasts to participate in international competitions using the national flag and anthem starting in mid-May. Russian female athletes recently won three gold and one silver medal at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup finals in Baku. The Russian youth team also secured victories against Azerbaijan with a 5-0 score and Pakistan with a 2-1 score.
