Giro d'Italia Stage 4 Preview Released
The second stage of the Giro d'Italia for men concluded today. Uruguayan Germán Thomas Silva won the sprint, with German Florian Stork from the Swiss Tudor team placing second. Swiss cyclist Jan Christen finished 8th as the best Swiss rider, having been in the leading group for a long time. He triumphed in the final group sprint, finishing ahead of German Stork and Italian Ciccone. Slovak rider Lukáš Kubiš, making his Grand Tour debut, finished 61st with a deficit of 80. Slovenian jockey Urška Žigar finished in sixth place in the combined race. This result marks her highest ranking and is the best Slovenian result in the three largest races. Ogier's lead expanded to 20.2 seconds after the Paredes 2 stage, up from 16 seconds after the Marante stage.
