Former Formula One driver Alex Zanardi has died at the age of 59. His family announced his death without specifying the cause. Zanardi lost his legs in a racing accident on the Lausitzring in 2001. He later competed in para-sports, winning four gold and two silver medals in handcycling at the Paralympics.
