China Wins Five Gold Medals At Diving World Cup
China's Wang Zongyuan and Zheng Jiuyuan won the men's synchronized 3m springboard gold medal at the World Aquatics Championships in Beijing. The men's synchronized 3m springboard final at the World Aquatics Diving World Cup began in Beijing on May 1, 2026. Chen Yunwen and Chen Jiazhu won the gold medal in the women's 3m springboard event with a total score of 331.05 points. The Chinese national team won five gold medals on the first day of competition in Beijing. The Chinese men's team defeated Malaysia with a score of 3-0 to advance to the semifinals of the 2026 Thomas Cup. The team secured victories in the men's synchronized 3m springboard, women's synchronized 3m springboard, women's 10m platform, and men's synchronized 10m platform events. In the men's synchronized 10m platform, the new duo Zhao Renjie and Yang Zhi won despite limited training time.
