Researchers Study Bat Migration Risks From Wind Turbines
Researchers at the Max Planck Institute in Konstanz are investigating bat migration patterns to mitigate collision risks with wind turbines. Bats are unable to hear the high-speed rotor tips of turbines traveling at over 100 km/h despite their ultrasonic hunting capabilities.
