Physicist Wei Fengsi Advocates Indigenous Geophysics Project

Wei Fengsi, born in 1941, is an 85-year-old academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a space physicist. Chinese Academy of Sciences academician Wei Fengsi, the proposer and first head of the Ziwu Project, advocates for an indigenous geophysics exploration route. He pursued Earth Physics instead of his initial Automation major at the University of Science and Technology of China. Wei Fengsi said contributing wisdom and ideas for national development, regardless of personal reward. Unlike Western methods relying on expensive satellites, Fengsi's approach said ground-based observation. The Zi-Wu Project, initiated in 2008 and operational since 2012, aims to contribute scientific wisdom and thought to national development. Physicist Wei Fengsi, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is leading the WuZhi Project to develop indigenous geophysical detection capabilities. The WuZhi Project officially commenced in 2008 and entered operation following national review in 2012. Academician Wei Fengsi, a proponent and former head of the 'Zi Wu' (Meridian) Project, is advocating for the geophysics initiative. The Zi Wu Project 1.0 began construction in 2008 and entered operation in 2012, after 19 years from conception to realization. He believes in maximizing one's potential for the country, with success dependent on fate. The project's open data volume and authorized operation data volume increased by 31.71% and 53.91% respectively.
