FDA Developed AI Software To Replace Rat Testing
The US Food and Drug Administration developed a software called AnimalGAN to determine how rats react to chemicals. This tool aims to reduce the need for new rat tests by providing accurate simulations. Labour's Irene Campbell noted that AI presents an opportunity for replacing animal testing. Conservative Shadow Ministers argued that existing scientific alternatives to animal testing should be scaled up.
