Study Evaluates Rhine Water Use For Hambach Mine Lake
A scientific expert opinion is being sought to determine if Rhine water is suitable for creating a large lake in the Hambach open-cast mine within the Rhein-Erft district. Starting in 2030, thousands of liters of Rhine water are planned to be pumped into the mine.
