National Library and TCM Academy Publish 194 Medical Texts
The National Library of China and the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences have completed the digital preservation and transcription of several ancient medical text collections, including the Yangsheng and Wenbing volumes. The collection uses digital methods to present pulse-taking methods and medicinal formulas from over 2,000 years ago. The release aims to showcase the history of traditional Chinese medicine. The source noted that the latest compiled catalog of traditional Chinese medical classics contains 8,650 types. This national cultural initiative includes volumes such as the Yangsheng and Wenbing scrolls. A total of 194 ancient Chinese medical texts have been prepared for comprehensive public publication and distribution. The project aims to modernize the presentation of traditional medical wisdom through digital and physical formats.
