Moscow Scientists Synthesize Dual-Metal Thermometer Molecules
Scientists from the MSU Faculty of Chemistry and Faculty of Materials Science have successfully synthesized organometallic complexes acting as thermometer molecules. These complexes utilize two different lanthanide metals to emit distinct colors, such as red from Europium and green from Terbium. The research involves complex molecules capable of emitting absorbed energy through these specific metals. For example, Europium emits red light while Terbium emits green light. The research was conducted in collaboration with external colleagues.
