Archaeological Sites Reveal Ancient Yangtze River Activity
Archaeological excavations in Shaoxing have uncovered findings related to the ancient Yue capital. The site includes evidence of national sacrificial rituals and a large quantity of Han dynasty pottery. These discoveries were discussed during an annual gathering of Chinese archaeologists. The findings provide new insights into the historical significance of the region. Archaeological sites in the Yangtze River basin, including Guizhou Puding Chuantong, Anhui Fan Chang Shendun, Hubei Jingzhou Jinan City, and Zhejiang Shaoxing Yue State Capital, demonstrate historical regional competition and cultural integration.
