Bees Defend Hive From Giant Hornets
Bees have developed a defense mechanism against giant hornets, specifically Japanese killer hornets. When these hornets invade a beehive, worker bees gather around the invader in a cluster. They generate heat through movement, creating temperatures around 50 degrees Celsius, which kills the hornet. The broadcast described the defensive actions taken by the bees to protect their colony. The specific species of bees and hornets were not identified.
