Russian Speakers Perceive Color Differences Faster
Studies comparing English and Russian speakers show that Russian speakers, who have distinct terms for light and dark blue, are faster at perceiving and consciously recognizing the difference between these shades. English speakers, with a single general term for blue, do not demonstrate the same speed.
