The Jintang undersea tunnel project has successfully implemented high-pressure tool changes for its shield machine, a world-recognized challenge. The Jintang undersea tunnel achieved high-precision docking at the seabed after traversing high water pressure and complex geological layers. The Jintang Undersea Tunnel's maximum burial depth is 78 meters below sea level, experiencing a maximum water head pressure of 8.5 bar, which exceeds the traditional 5 bar safety limit for compressed air operations. The Jintang undersea tunnel project team has successfully conducted experiments under different pressure conditions, ranging from 5.9 bar to 7.5 bar, and in real-time underwater.
