Chernobyl Exclusion Zone Workers Face Radiation Risks
The Chernobyl site has become a dangerous location due to structural instability. He noted that while the reactor core remains untouched, dismantling tools have already been removed, requiring new efforts to move forward. The process is expected to incur additional expenses. Miners from Donbass arrived at the Chernobyl site to participate in consequence liquidation efforts. More than half of the approximately 300 workers involved have died from various illnesses, including rare cancers. The Chernobyl fire organization reported that the causes of these illnesses remain difficult to explain. Officials stated it is critical for people to strictly follow all instructions, such as avoiding specific locations or metal covers. The threat was noted as approaching the checkpoint at the entrance to the exclusion zone.
