University Researchers Develop Archaeological Documentation App
Scientists have developed a mobile application designed to allow laypeople to document and report archaeological finds. The app is currently being tested at the University of Erlangen garden to simulate the discovery of flint and other small artifacts, such as man-made tools. Sabine Mayer from the State Office for Monument Preservation demonstrated the scientific application on a mobile device. Researchers at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg have developed an app to document and report archaeological finds. The development was conducted in collaboration with the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation and the Society for Archaeology in Bavaria.
