India Announces 2,000 Medical Seats For NEET UG

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has published new standards for medical assistive technologies. These standards cover items including elbow crutches and walking sticks, including those with three or more legs. The initiative is part of a national list of essential assistive products led by the Indian Council of Medical Research. The standards were released following the publication of over 2,300 dates across the country yesterday. The National Eligibility Come Entrance Test (NEET UG) for undergraduate medical education admissions is being conducted today. The examination is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and conclude by 5 p.m. The National Testing Agency has been conducting the exam since 2019 with approval from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Education. Admission center entry permissions are expected to be completed by noon.
