Melanoma Vaccine Shows Initial Treatment Results
Alexander Ginsburg, head of the Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, announced that a new melanoma vaccine has yielded its first treatment results. A patient receiving the vaccine is currently under observation at home in the Kursk region by a regional oncology dispensary. Ginsburg noted that the patient is showing small shifts following the vaccine administration. Analysis of a patient receiving an mRNA vaccine for melanoma treatment showed initial shifts toward producing necessary immune proteins. The Ministry of Health authorized the use of these vaccines in clinical practice in April. Full immunological results are expected following ten administrations of the drug. The next phase of therapy is scheduled for the coming week. The male patient is undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of local doctors.
