The discussion follows plans for American firms to build a new plant near Warsaw. The Polish organization CBOS has been polling these questions since 1987. A French company is expected to provide the steam turbines for the reactors. The Polish Minister of Energy is Miłosz Motyka. This increase in support followed the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and Russia cutting gas supplies to Poland. The moon contains Helium-3, a rare material that could potentially power clean nuclear fusion. This resource is driving a new space race focused on both exploration and addressing shortages on Earth. Robotic missions have already successfully reached the moon's far side.
