German Museum Warns Against Releasing Weakened Whale

The German Marine Museum in Stralsund plans to release a humpback whale into the North Sea. A spokesperson told the German Press Agency that the exact time and location for the release are still being determined. There is a risk the whale could drown because the animal is currently very weak. The German Oceanographic Museum Stralsund warned against releasing a whale into the open sea.
