US Senator Shaheen Steps Down From Elected Office
US Senator Jeanne Shaheen announced she will step down from elected office at the end of her term in January. She stated it is simply time for her to leave. Shaheen recently voted no on a blueprint bill aimed at funding ICE and reopening the Department of Homeland Security. She previously served as New Hampshire governor and in the U.S. Senate. She expressed concerns about an agency with inadequately trained personnel.
