Runoff elections for mayoral offices took place in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In Fürstenwalde, incumbent Rudolf, supported by the AfD, faces former SPD Bundestag member Papendick. In Drebkau, located in the Spree-Neiße district, incumbent CDU politician Könne faces AfD politician Serb. Polling stations closed at 18:00 and vote counting is currently underway. In Fürstenwalde, incumbent Rudolf, recommended by the AfD, is facing SPD former Member of Parliament Papendick in a runoff election.
