Keir Starmer Faces Calls To Resign After Election Results
A leadership challenge within the UK Labour Party could occur if Keir Starmer resigns. The National Executive Committee and Cabinet would then select an acting leader and Prime Minister from the cabinet. This process would exclude Andy Burnham. Approximately a quarter of Labour MPs have called for his resignation. The Secretary of State for Health has also resigned.
