Florida Law Allows Personal Conscience Vaccine Exemptions
A new Florida law allows parents to exempt children from school immunizations based on personal conscience. This addition expands existing religious and medical exemption options. Democratic State Senator Carlos Guillermo-Smith noted that opting out for religious reasons is already easy under current rules. Democrats currently hold the minority in the Florida legislature and have opposed the measure.
