Mayor Johnson acknowledged potential changes to the safety act following the death of Chicago police officer John Bartholomew. Bartholomew was allegedly killed by Alfonso Talley, a man reportedly on electronic ankle monitoring. The mayor stated he does not have direct control over the safety act and will focus on controllable measures.
