Assailant Armed With Shotgun and Knives Intercepted
An armed man attempted to rush a Secret Service checkpoint at a Washington, DC hotel during the White House Correspondents' Dinner. The suspect was carrying a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives. An exchange of gunfire occurred after the suspect was intercepted. One Secret Service agent was shot but is expected to be okay after being taken to the hospital. The agent was wearing a bulletproof vest during the incident.
