Communication Lost With 11 Flotilla Vessels
Israeli forces have raided seven boats carrying activists from dozens of countries in international waters. The flotilla consists of 59 ships and 345 activists, including 31 Turkish citizens. Reports indicate Israeli drones performed low-altitude flights over the vessels. Some ships in the flotilla have reportedly continued their course despite the seizure. Communication systems on the boats were disabled during the operation, cutting off contact between the flotilla and the outside world. The number of boats that lost contact has risen to twenty following the intervention. Activists stated they were conducting a peaceful humanitarian mission and remain determined to reach Gaza despite the obstacles. The flotilla consists of more than 50 boats departing from various European ports. Tracking data confirms the blockade is occurring in international waters.
