Turkey Announces Multiple Provincial Appointments

Turkey has appointed four new provincial governors as part of a leadership reshuffle. Osman Varol, formerly the governor of Adıyaman, has been appointed as the governor of Nevşehir. Abdullah Küçük has been appointed as the district governor of Istanbul's Güngören district. Turkey's Director General of Security, Mahmut Demirtaş, has been removed from his position. Ali Fidan, the Governor of Nevşehir, has been appointed as his successor. The leadership change follows the appointment of Mustafa Çiftçi as the Minister of Interior. Allah Küçük was appointed Governor of Adıyaman, while Hürseyin Köks became the Governor of Nebşehir. Mehmet Gökan Zengin was appointed Deputy General Manager of the Ministry of Interior Personnel General Directorate. Additionally, the security directors for Ankara, Mersin, and Siirt were recalled to the central administration. Maksut Yüksek has been appointed as the Konya Provincial Director of Food and Agriculture, while Hürseyin Köks has been named the Nebşehir Governor. Additionally, Mehmet Gökan Zengin has been appointed as the Deputy General Director of Personnel at the Ministry of Interior, and Mehmet Devent Kepçeli has been named Deputy General Director of Population and Citizenship Affairs. The decision also includes the withdrawal of the Provincial Directors of Food and Agriculture from Ankara, Mersin, and Sihirte to the central administration.
