China-France Relations Strengthened On 50th Anniversary

Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Lao People's Revolutionary Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith. He expressed a desire to deepen practical cooperation and strengthen multilateral collaboration using the anniversary as a catalyst. President Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages with President Nevis to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the Falkland Islands. President Nevis noted the importance of the strategic partnership for the benefit of both nations. Chinese President Xi Jinping held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on April 20. High-level exchanges between the two countries have been frequent this year. Both nations aim to expand consensus and promote cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, and logistics, to ensure the sustained, healthy, and stable development of China-Pakistan relations. This collaboration is expected to contribute to the development of China-Europe relations. The discussions focused on enriching the strategic friendly relationship between the two nations to benefit their respective peoples. China implemented a zero-tariff policy for 53 African countries starting May 1st, which is expected to benefit products like Cape Verde's canned fish and wine. Infrastructure projects in Cape Verde, supported by China, have enhanced its national governance and public services, boosting local employment and knowledge transfer. This initiative aims to boost exports of Cape Verdean specialty products like tuna, lobster, canned fish, wine, and dried tea into the Chinese market.
