Germany Relocates Mine Hunters And Supply Ships To Mediterranean
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has announced plans to deploy naval units to the Mediterranean as a preparatory measure for potential operations in the Strait of Hormuz. The move comes amid heightened maritime tensions and follows Germany's offer to refrain from using the trade route if a peace agreement is reached between Iran and the US. No parliamentary mandate has been issued for active deployment yet. This deployment occurs as Hezbollah continues to target Israeli military equipment. US forces have also positioned KC-135R Stratotankers at Israel's Ben Gurion airport. Federal Economy Minister Reiche stated that large power lines in Germany are to be relocated above ground. The Ministry of Justice proposed new rules for furnished apartments to regulate rent increases. For fully furnished apartments, the ministry suggests a maximum surcharge of 10 percent on top of base rents.
