UK To Raise Tobacco Legal Age Annually
A new law in the United Kingdom is expected to receive Royal Assent this week. The legislation will raise the legal age for purchasing tobacco by one year every year. The increase applies to individuals born on or after January 1, 2009. Affected age groups will face a lifetime ban on tobacco sales.
