Portuguese Politician Calls For Parliamentary Debate On Security Forces
Prime Minister Luís Montenegro returns to Parliament today for a fortnightly debate. This follows his presentation of the final State Budget (PTR) yesterday. Opposition parties from both the left and right have criticized the presentation, accusing Montenegro of conducting political marketing and propaganda. Portugal's Defense Minister has accepted a challenge to appear before Parliament for an explanation session regarding transfers. The move follows discussions regarding the current global challenges to multilateralism and international law. Paulo Rangel noted in an interview that Portugal remains a defender of international law despite complex global conflicts. André Ventura announced his party has scheduled a parliamentary debate regarding security forces for next Thursday.
