Ukraine To Increase Pay For Frontline Soldiers

New regulations allow Ukrainian military personnel to independently determine the specific individuals and amounts of their monetary allowances in the event of death or disappearance. The payments will continue for the entire duration of the hospital stay, whether the soldier is in Ukraine or abroad. The allowance also covers time spent moving between medical facilities. The Ministry of Defense announced plans to introduce a new form of military contracts to improve conditions for all service members. The Ministry stated that these improvements are part of a broader effort to address soldier compensation. One specific combat bonus mentioned was 27,975 Hryvnia. Officials intend to propose or regulate the terms previously offered to ensure effective fund utilization. The Ministry of Defense is operating with a budget of less than 300 billion, which is lower than the previous year. Financial security and social protection for military personnel remain stated priorities. Ukraine plans to raise wages for assault and paratrooper units, as well as personnel in combat positions.
