Xi Jinping Calls For Improved Disaster Response
Chinese Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping said the need to improve capabilities for preventing and responding to natural disasters during a collective study session of the Political Bureau. The leader advocated for deeper international cooperation in natural disaster research. The leader called for better equipment guarantees and the enhancement of public disaster prevention awareness. Chinese President Xi Jinping presided over the 25th collective study session of the Political Bureau on the afternoon of April 28. He stated that grassroots levels are the first line of defense against natural disasters and must not be neglected. The Communist Party of China's Political Bureau held its 25th collective study session focused on improving disaster prevention, reduction, and relief capabilities.
