Ukraine To Receive Over $3 Billion From EU And IMF

A major financial support package totaling approximately 90 billion euros has been unlocked for Ukraine. This applies to work performed in countries that have ratified international social security agreements with Ukraine. The decision aims to facilitate pension calculations for citizens who worked abroad. The specific list of eligible countries is based on existing international treaties. The Ministry of Defense announced that reservists and their spouses are entitled to credit holidays, which include exemptions from interest and penalties on loans. For mobilized reservists, these holidays apply from the first day of conscription until discharge, regardless of whether they serve at the front or in the rear. Eligibility for these rights is contingent upon direct participation in national defense. A new decree provides military personnel with the right to waive interest and fines on debts. This benefit applies to anyone who participated in combat or defensive operations for at least one day after February 24, 2022. The eligibility remains active throughout the individual's entire period of service, regardless of whether they serve on the front line or in a rear unit. The European Commission also addressed delays regarding a 90 billion euro credit allocation for Ukraine. Ukraine is set to receive more than $3 billion in financial support from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund.
