Ukraine Launches Updated Electronic Veteran ID

The Rezero-Plus mobile application now allows users to pay fines for failing to appear for military summonses. The Ministry of Defense announced a new system involving 100% fines for unpaid loans during service. The policy includes exemptions from interest and penalties for defenders and their spouses. Mobilized reservists receive leave from the first day of conscription until discharge, regardless of whether they serve at the front or in the rear. Key contract holders receive specific rights contingent on direct participation in national defense. Foreigners in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and contractors who have not participated in combat missions are ineligible for certain benefits. To stop accruals, individuals must provide banks with a document package from their combat unit, including a military ID or officer's certificate and a Form 5. For contractors, proof of direct participation in defense, such as a Form 12 or other combat participation certificates, is mandatory. The initiative was implemented in coordination with the State Special Communications Service and the Ministry of Digital Transformation. The service allows users to connect to other operators' networks if their primary provider's network is unavailable. This follows technical issues where restarting devices failed to restore connectivity. The Diia mobile application has been updated to include a new section for veteran services.
