China's Taiwan Affairs Office Criticizes US Involvement

Chen Binhua of the Taiwan Affairs Office in Beijing stated that US involvement in Taiwan issues makes the situation more dangerous. The office said that it will coordinate with relevant departments to implement policies promoting cross-strait exchange and cooperation. Chen noted that peaceful reunification would allow Taiwan to benefit from the mainland's large market and economic advantages. The office asserted that peaceful development and prosperity would gain widespread support from the Taiwanese people. He stated that external protection is unreliable and places Taiwan in greater danger. Chen said that the unification of the motherland is non-negotiable regardless of weapon purchases. He also noted that the ten policy measures for cross-strait exchange are being implemented to promote prosperity and livelihood. The China Rural Coordination Office announced that 40 OCOP products have achieved certification for the final stage of the 2021-2025 period. There were 91 registration dossiers submitted from 18 provinces and cities. Of these submissions, 72 products belong to the food group. The announcement reflects a development trend of focusing on regional strengths.
